It looks as though Autumn is definitely here for us! What a windy week!
Downstairs, the babies have been using some of the fallen leaves in a dinosaur swamp for them to hide under and to add texture, they have also been making marks in dry and wet porridge oats! Upstairs some of the older children have been using the cars to make patterns using paint and using the remote-control ones to have races! They have also enjoyed an exercise class with Rosie outside in the garden. In the Garden Lodge they have had an aquatic themed week using salt water to melt ice with fish frozen inside and making and decorating jelly-fish!! Earlier in the week some of the children also harvested some of our vegetables from the garden and have enjoyed using them in the role play kitchen.
We have welcomed several new faces to our Hearts and Minds family this week, everyone seems to be settling in and getting to know the new routines. Just a little note, on Tuesday 17th September we will be fundraising for Jeans for Genes where we would like to encourage children, staff (and parents) to wear their jeans for the day to raise awareness for this important cause. If you would like to make a donation, there will be pots in nursery on the day.
