We have enjoyed making some yummy cakes and biscuits this week and have been amazed by all the creations which have come in from everyone. We have so far raised £198.60 for Great Ormond Street hospital and still have lots of tasty treats left for tonight’s cake sale.

The older children have made some tasty gingerbread this week and have gone on to enjoy a gingerbread themed week. The younger children upstairs have been matching emotions on the gingerbread cards and also making gingerbread people out of playdough. The older children upstairs have been counting out buttons and matching numeral to quantity as they decorated gingerbread people and also painting the characters from the story.

Outside the children in the Garden Lodge made some Crispy cakes and decorated biscuits for the bake sale. The younger children have been exploring scented playdough and have also been mark making with natural paintbrushes. Amelia has been keeping the older children busy by providing them with cardboard people in need of a haircut so they have been practicing their scissor control.

In the baby room the little ones have welcomed two new faces and have a few birthdays to celebrate. They have enjoyed playing with the dinosaurs in the swamp and also exploring big and little with the pasta.

We would like to thank everyone who came to the parents play evening on Tuesday and hope you found the activities set out useful to support your little ones at home.

We would finally like to wish Katie lots of luck for her wedding on Sunday. Katie will fly off to enjoy her honeymoon next week and we will see her again in the middle of June as Mrs House.
